“Indigenous” refers not only to cultures and peoples, but also a way of being. The indigenous way is the embodied ancient memory of how to be fully human, and it’s encoded in our souls, no matter who our ancestors are. As humans, we’ve got everything we need, inside of us and surrounding us, to evolve into the multi-dimensional beings we were born to be. As we find ourselves on the threshold of a “new age” (the Golden Age of Humanity, the Age of Aquarius, the Fifth Sun, etc.), we are invited to shore up the fabric of our indigenous souls for the journey ahead of us. How shall we begin? This presentation offers some threads and patterns that we can use to weave ourselves into multi-dimensionality.

Rev. Dr. Cathie Stivers

Cathie is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister, with a Ph.D. in Health Education. After a 16-year career in public health education, Cathie attended Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA and completed her Master of Divinity degree in 2002. She then served as a chaplain at the Children’s Hospital in Richmond for 11 years. She is the author of Reviving Our Indigenous Souls: How to Practice the Ancient to Bring in the New (Balboa Press, 2018). In recent years, Cathie has been learning and practicing the skills of spiritually based emotional clearing; inner work with polarity integration (Yin/Yang); examining beliefs that either inhibit or promote self-evolution and multi-dimensional consciousness; and understanding and honoring relationships with self (levels of consciousness) and with others (soul contracts).
