PREVIEW CLIP

“You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:32)

Join us for an enlightening conversation on the works and teachings of Neil Douglas-Klotz, a renowned scholar, author, and spiritual teacher with a deep background in Aramaic language studies and Middle Eastern spirituality. We will explore the teachings of Jesus through the perspective of Aramaic, the language he spoke. By examining key phrases and concepts in their original Aramaic context, it reveals deeper and sometimes alternative meanings to those commonly understood in traditional Christian teachings.

Through his pioneering interpretations of key religious texts, including the Lord’s Prayer and the Beatitudes, Douglas-Klotz reveals the mystical and inclusive messages hidden within these ancient words. In his book, Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus, he emphasizes a more mystical and holistic understanding of life, death, and the nature of existence, highlighting themes like unity, compassion, and spiritual transformation, and connecting these teachings to modern spiritual practice and how they can be applied to contemporary life.

Douglas-Klotz often highlights the feminine aspects of spirituality, which he believes are crucial for achieving balance and healing in the world. His work reflects a synthesis of scholarship, spirituality, and a commitment to fostering greater understanding among different cultures and religions.
