12 Habits for All of Us The Playful Path to Heaven on Earth A Conversation with Elaine Parke and Steve Bhaerman (aka Swami Beyondananda)
“Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
Here is the paradox of our time. Our body politic seems more divided than ever before – and yet the vast majority of people long for us all to work together instead of fighting one another and here is the good news: In the midst of our culture of separation, a phoenix is rising – it’s the culture of connection, where despite our differences, we recognize we are all connected at the heart.

And … that recognition is just the first step. The next question is, how to we turn this ideal into the real deal? How do we activate this coherence, and “live” the culture of connection (aka “heaven on earth”) in daily life? Is there a way to impact the world at large by what we do in “the world at small”?

Elaine Parke, founder of 12 Habits for All of Us, has a way that has already impacted millions of people around the world!

36 years ago, Elaine Parke woke up with a dream that each of our 12 months, could become globally
recognized as a colorful habit-formation period where we choose ONE ACTIONABLE VIRTUE for each month that we practice until it becomes a habit. You may remember back in the 1990s, that a group of TM (Transcendental Meditation) practitioners, descended on Washington, D.C. and focused their meditation on bringing nonviolence to the area. During the month of August, crime went down by 25%! Prior to this intention experiment, the Washington DC police chief famously said that the only thing that could reduce crime in August was a snowstorm.

Well, this “perfect storm” of benevolence seemed to have a magical impact.

And now Elaine Parke and the All of Us nonprofit is launching a follow-up program to “Make Civility Cool in Washington, D.C.” This time, in addition to the intentional meditation, they are adding the practice of these 12 loving habits based on the Golden Rule to ground this intention in daily activity.

By the way, this organized, year-round playful path to heaven on earth has reached and influenced
millions in America’s Midwest and Africa. It has been PROVEN to work by 9 university studies with
participant endorsement quotes like, “I am now nice to the same people I used to be mean to.”
Inspiring Global unity, compassion, and teamwork doesn’t get any more sensible and substantial than that one statement.

More than a year ago, well-known and loved cosmic comic Swami Beyondananda, aka, Steve
Bhaerman, became personally energized upon learning about the 12 Habits as an action plan to put his and Bruce Lipton’s goal to bring “heaven on earth,” into real, day-to-day practice.

Since then, Steve has worked with Elaine to produce the Humanity’s Stream hosted webinar series, 12 Habits of Unity: The Path to Intentionally Evolving Our Human Community. Monthly Zoominar “Parties” are also held on the 3rd Thursday of each month and are focused on the action “value” for the month.

This fall, Steve launches his new “world-win” tour, the Great Up-Wising: Beyondananda and Beyond, to promote and proliferate this world-changing and life-changing practice. “Evolution is fractal,” says Steve. “That is, it happens simultaneously on all levels – individual, community, and world.” That’s why Gandhi said be the change you wish to see in the world.
